Overview

GT 64: Championship Edition, known in Japan as City Tour GrandPrix: Zen-Nippon GT Senshuken or City-Tour GP, is a touring car racing game developed by Imagineer and published by Ocean (outside of Japan) and Imagineer (in Japan) for the Nintendo 64 (Platform) in Europe on April 14, 1998, in North America on August 31, 1998, and in Japan on October 30, 1998.

The only officially licensed game of the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (Concept) released on the Nintendo 64, GT 64 features 14 teams from the 1997 season's GT500 class, six car models (the most prominent being the Toyota Supra and the Nissan Skyline GT-R), three courses (with both Short and Long versions), and two-player split screen multiplayer.

Courses

Both Japanese and overseas versions of the game include six total courses, three of which are alternate "Long" versions of the other three "Short" courses. All three of the Japanese version courses are set in Japan (Kyoto (Location), Lake Fuji, and Tokyo (Location)) while all three of the overseas version courses are set in different countries (Europe (Location), Japan (Location), and U.S.A.). The Tokyo and Japan courses are identical.
