A turn-based strategy game with a unique 16th-century art style where the player takes control of historical explorers seeking to find and defeat the legendary Kraken (Character). Gameplay involves exploring the map, trading goods, upgrading your ship, and fighting sea monsters. Combat versus AI or local opponents plays out in a mini card game structured like rock-paper-scissors.
Differences from Ancient Trader
Fortune Winds: Ancient Trader has improved AI, more character choices, and save game functionality the the original game (simply called Ancient Trader (Game)) lacked.
The original title remains for sale on the 360 but Fortune Winds replaced Ancient Trader on PC.
