Development
The game was originally announced by Remedy on June 29, 2021 as Project Condor. Remedy had signed a deal with 505 Games, the publisher of Control (Game), to develop a multiplayer spinoff for Control. On February 28, 2024 Remedy announced they had acquired full ownership of the Control franchise, including project Condor, from 505 Games. This would lead to FBC: Firebreak to become Remedy's first self-published game. The game was officially announced as FBC: Firebreak on October 14, 2024.
