Defiance
Defiance is a free-to-play MMO-shooter that coincides with events in a television series of the same name, depicting humans and aliens working together on a ravaged, mutated Earth. The game is multi-platform, but does not support cross-platform play.
Overview
Defiance is a game which combines the action of a Third Person Shooting with the scale of a MMO. The game takes place in the Bay Area after the planet has been terraformed.
On June 4, 2014 Trion Worlds announced that Defiance has gone free to play.
Beta
A beta was released exclusively for PSN PlayStation Plus users in Europe on 20th March 2013.
Death
The game was shut down on April 29th 2021, along with the unsuccessful rerelease Defiance 2050 (Game).
