Overview
Dance Around, stylized as DANCE aROUND, is a motion-controlled dance rhythm game developed by BEMANI and released by Konami for arcades (exclusively to ROUND1 centers) on March 3, 2022. A spiritual successor to DanceMasters / Dance Evolution, DANCE aROUND makes uses of a camera sensor to detect the player's poses and dance movements as they choreograph a dance routine. Like other BEMANI arcade games, this one features a dedicated deluxe arcade cabinet, with the key feature here being three monitors stacked seamless on top of each-other to replicate one extra-large vertically-oriented display, situated a few feet away from the dance mat. Rather than using the Kinect, as with Dance Evolution Arcade, this one makes use of standard cameras with VisionPose technology.
