Overview
Bomb Bots Arena is a love letter to the Bombermangames of the past. With a big focus on bringing the same feel and fun as the originals this new IP from Tiny Roar (Company) removed all game changing items out of the match and into the character selection. Here players will combine abilities like Kick, Jump, Shield and many more to define their very own playstyle. The usual suspects of power ups that change the player's speed and bomb capacity are still found during matches, as well as the Sudden Death mechanic which limits the plafield rapidly.
The game itself is developed as a side project of the studio which started production on this game because they wanted to play their very own multiplayer game when their shifts end.
The game is free to play and Tiny Roar promised that the basic gameplay experience will stay that way. Until April 2020 the game stayed in Closed Beta to get rid of as many bugs as possible, before it opened up for everyone in Early Access.
Exit games' very own Quantum engine is powering the backend of this game which allows for stable online sessions and crossplay across all deviced imaginable that support Unity.
The team already announced that they will release the game on the following platforms: PC (Platform), Nintendo Switch (Platform) and Mobile. Their intention is to bring the game to PS4 and XBox as well, but it depends on the demand of fans and support of the Sony and Microsoft.
