Bolo
GAME » on 1982
A top-down tank combat game for the Apple II, where you drive a tank around a large maze, fighting off enemy tanks and destroying their spawners.

Overview

Bolo, not to be confused with the 1987 tank game or the 1989 pinball game of the same name, is a top-down tank combat game developed by Jim Lane (Person) (as Elvyn Software) and published by Synergistic Software for the Apple II (Platform) in 1982. Named after, and somewhat based on, the Keith Laumer (Person) sci-fi anthology Bolo: Annals of the Dinochrome Brigade, Bolo has players driving a tank around a large maze, using its turret to destroying randomly-placed bases that spawn enemy tanks.
