Overview

Blade Runner: Rogue is a discontinued free-to-play mobile game for the Android (Platform) and iOS platforms. Based on the Blade Runner (Franchise) franchise, it was developed by Finnish-based studio Next Games (Company) and published in partnership with Alcon Entertainment.

Development and Release

An open beta version of the game, then titled Blade Runner 2049, was released for Android in the latter half of 2018; by January 2019, its title had been changed to Blade Runner Nexus. Following this soft launch, the game was moved back into production in late 2019. The game – now retitled Blade Runner: Rogue – was eventually released in 2021 in the United Kingdom with the intention of subsequent releases in other markets. Next Games’ annual report for 2021 disclosed that the game was to be discontinued after February 2022 due to having not met financial expectations; it was to be removed from app stores immediately before ultimately going offline for existing players in June 2022.
