Overview

Battle Tycoon: Flash Hiders SFX is a Super Famicom exclusive follow-up to the 1993 PC Engine CD game Flash Hiders (Game), and like that game is a one-on-one fighter with an "Advance" mode that lets the player bet on fights and improve their equipment between battles. The game also offers a Versus mode that allows two players, one human player and one CPU, or two CPU players to compete. Battle Tycoon presents a martial arts contest between members of various tribes, each of which has their own combat style and background. They compete to see which style is the strongest, as well as make their fortunes. Each character's Advance mode story is different.

Characters

The characters include:

  • Bang Vipot: From the Wallace tribe, known for transforming into animals, the brash Bang is the protagonist of the series. He can change into a tiger in combat.
  • Tiria Rosette: A bo-staff wielder who can also call on summoned spirits, a trait of the Meijia tribe. Her spirit is the fire elemental Ifreis.
  • Ottoh Halford: Ottoh hails from the Boranzo tribe, which use mechanized armor to increase their strength.
  • Harman Do Elan: A female member of the Wallace tribe who can change into a panther.
  • Spenoza Thunderhead: Another Meijia tribe mage who uses a lightning spirit called Bolvick.
  • Calnarsa Lue Bonn: A female Boranzo tribe member who relies more on her bo staff than the cyborg armor of her peers.
  • Seena Vanpied: A Meijia tribe member who uses an ice spirit named Windy.
  • Guston Slayed: A character added to Battle Tycoon. Another member of the Boranzo tribe, though Guston's suit is larger and bulkier than Ottoh's.
  • Pachet Vain: A character added to Battle Tycoon. A member of the Wallace tribe, this large swordswoman can transform into a polar bear.
