Overview

Battle Ace is a cockpit dogfight game from Hudson Soft and one of a handful of games developed specifically for the SuperGrafx (Platform) console. The player must fight through waves of enemies, shooting them down and avoiding their missiles. The game cycles through various zones, some of which include environment hazards like ice and asteroids that the player must also avoid by swerving around. Of the seven games that took advantage of the SuperGrafx's increased computing power and graphics card, only three of them were specifically created for the system: Battle Ace, Aldynes (Game) and Madouou Granzort. Battle Ace was the first game to be released for the system.
