Advanced Civilization is a turn-based strategy game developed and published by The Avalon Hill Game Company for DOS PCs in 1995.

A digital adaptation of Avalon Hill's 1991 board game of the same name, itself an update to the 1980 board game Civilization (which had a separate adaptation, known as Incunabula (Game)), Advanced Civilization pits up to eight players as prehistoric civilizations throughout the Mediterranean region as they race to advance their nation throughout the Stone, Bronze, and Iron Ages through trading goods with other civilizations, financing technological advancements, mitigating calamities, and fighting over territorial control.

The game features a unique Play-by-Email mode in which all participating players make their turns simultaneously.
