Winx Club is an animated series co-produced by Rainbow SpA and Nickelodeon. It was created by Iginio Straffi. The show is about a group of magical fairies called the Winx Club. Together they face evil witches, wizards, and monsters all the while living their lives and fulfilling their personal dreams. There have been several video games based on the show.
The original series had four seasons that aired from 2004 to 2009. In 2011, Viacom (owner of Nickelodeon) became a co-owner of Rainbow SpA, and Viacom launched a revival series. The revival began with four new specials that retell the original first and second seasons.
