Overview
In the Sword of the Stars games (excluding The Pit) players take control of one of six space faring races and compete to conquer the stars. Games in the franchise revolve around a 4x model of game play, requiring players to explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate in the pursuit of victory. Empire expansion and management is turn-based while combat encounters take place in real-time on tiered, 3-dimensional maps.
