Origins of Hugo is in a popular interactive phone-entertainment TV show first aired in Denmark in 1990.  In the first edition, Hugo has to travel through a maze and collect gold while avoid TNT, but as the years passed, several other levels were introduced, all controlled via the phone through the tV program.  Since then Hugo has expanded from Denmark, and is now present in dozens of computer and console games, world-wide.
