Overview
The Gunparade series is a franchise of sci-fi adventure games set in an alternate history Earth in which World War II (Concept) was interrupted in 1945 by an alien invasion. The hostile alien forces put all of humanity in a united defensive effort to drive the invaders from the planet. In 1999, the war still rages, and the aliens now control half of Earth. Due to a shortage of troops, Japan passes a law permitting the drafting of high school students as pilots for their mecha platoons. The games split time between the students' military encounters and their lives away from the battlefield.
