Overview

The Glory of Heracles franchise, known as Heracles no Eikou in Japan, is a series of RPGs set in ancient Greece. The series protagonist, Heracles (Character), is an immortal. Data East released four entries in the series across the Famicom and Super Famicom, at which point it fell dormant. Data East eventually went out of business, and the franchise rights moved to Paon, a game developer comprised of former Data East employees. Nintendo eventually approached the company with the idea of producing an all-new game in the series for the Nintendo DS (Platform). This fifth title, entitled simply Glory of Heracles (Game) in English, was the first Heracles title to see an official, localized release outside of Japan.
