Overview
Nu (also known as Sega Nu) is an arcade system board developed and used by Sega for some of their arcade releases in the mid-2010's. First released in 2013 with Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Arcade: Future Tone, the Nu is the direct successor to Sega's PC-based RingEdge board and includes some upgrades. It was later superseded by the ALLS board. Hardware-wise, it uses an Intel Core i3-3220 model (at two-core 3.3 GHz) for its CPU, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX650 Ti model (w/ 1 GB GDDR5 VRAM) for the CPU, a 4GB DDR3-1600 SDRAM for memory, and both a 64 GB SSD and 500 GB HDD for storage. Its operating system has upgraded to Windows Embedded 8 Standard. One notable addition is the use of USB storage for game distribution (used along side digital and DVD-ROM distributions). The game later received two updated revisions (Nu 1.1 and Nu 2) and two budget variants (Nu SX and Nu SX 1.1).
