CONCEPT

This multiplayer game type has become a multiplayer mode of choice amongst hardcore fans of rhythm games. Two players play a song on the same difficulty in a battle for score supremacy.

This multiplayer mode first appeared in GuitarFreaks (Game) where it was simply known as Versus mode. The mode was later introduced to the Western world by Guitar Hero II (Game) under the name "Pro Face-Off". It has since become the multiplayer mode of choice amongst hardcore fans of the Guitar Hero (Franchise) rhythm game series.
