The Ochu is a frequent enemy in the Final Fantasy series. The Ochu are giant plants that have two to four arms and a petal "skirt". They are usually very powerful and inflict many negative status ailments.

The name "Ochu" is most likely a translation error of "Otyugh", a Dungeons and Dragons monster which the original Ochu closely resembled. Since then it has evolved in to its own unique monster.
