Mario battling against Mecha-Koopas in Super Mario World.
Mecha-Koopas are wind-up automatons created in Bowser (Character)'s own image. They first appear in Bowser's Castle in Super Mario World (Game) as patrol forces, and later in the final battle against Bowser. They can be stopped with a stomp, but reawaken after a few seconds. They can be destroyed with a spin attack from the cape, but are immune to fireballs.

The Mecha-Koopas re-appear in Mario Parties 5 & 7 as minigame obstacles.
