Limb Targeting
Limb Targeting is the ability to target specific limbs on the body with the object being either to disable the limb or kill the target faster. It may also be referred to as the "Limb System" or "Localized Damage".

Overview
Limb Targeting allows the player to target specific parts of the body to attack. The more diverse systems in games such as SD Snatcher (Game), Vagrant Story (Game) and Fallout 3 (Game) allow for the targeting of arms, legs, and even very specific places such as the eyes on a character. For when a game allows the player to disable limb based movement or attacks by removing a limb without killing the enemy, Strategic Dismemberment (Concept) is the most relevant trope.
