Like Likes have been around ever since the first game in the Legend of Zelda series. They will eat Link's shield if they manage to swallow him. Widely recognized for the "Mmmmmmm" noise they make when they sense a delicious shield nearby.

Overview

Like Likes are one of the trademark enemies of The Legend of Zelda series, they're like a jelly like matter that moves like water. Throughout the games, they might show up in one or two places but they aren't a common enemy. Like Likes aren't aggressive, they generally will leave Link alone unless he gets close. If the player gets close, they suck Link in and will cause damage. Players can always escape by wiggiling back and forth; however, the shield may still be consumed by the Like Like. If players lose a shield, the Like Like can be killed to get it back. Alternatively, players can go to the store and get a new one.
