Hit Marker
Any form of indication that lets player know they've hit an enemy, such as an audio cue or a visual mark that appears around the crosshairs of the player's weapon.

Overview
The hit marker often takes the form of an × in the center of the crosshair in FPS games, or a colored circle around it. Hit markers generally appear in the multiplayer portions of games, and rarely in single-player campaigns.
