- Girafarig is one of only a few Pokemon whose name is a palindrome. In Girafarig's case, it has been named this way because it has two heads and no tail.
- Girafarig's second head was originally meant to be the same size and shape as its first to reflect its palindrome name.
- Its Japanese name, Kirinriki, is a palindrome in Katakana (キリンリキ) but not when read in Romaji.
