Death of a Salesman
Some games have merchants. Some games let the player kill merchants.

Overview
Certain games let you kill merchants. This usually leads to the player being unable to buy whatever the merchant was selling. In certain games (such as Resident Evil 4 (Game) when playing on professional difficulty) killing the merchant will make him permanently disappear meaning that the player won't be able to buy upgrades or new weapons for the rest of the game. In other games such as Saints Row: The Third, killing a salesman in a store does nothing as he is not needed to purchase things in the store and he will respawn the next time players visit the store.
