S2 games was an independent developer best known for the Savage series of online action-strategy games.

Founded by Marc "Maliken" DeForest, S2 Games developed their first game Savage: The Battle for Newerth in September 2003. This was followed up by the sequel, Savage 2: A Tortured Soul in January of 2008. Their third major game was Heroes of Newerth, a semi-clone of the Warcraft III mod "Defense of the Ancients".
After Heroes of Newerth's success dwindled, S2 sold the rights to the game to Garena, which founded Frostburn Studios, to continue development of the game. In 2015, S2 released their final major release, in the form of Strife, which was ended up being a flop. In 2018, S2 Games was silently shuttered.
