Overview
Otaku Publishing, Ltd. is a UK distributor founded in 1995 that is based in London and operates an online storefront that specializes in selling imported Japanese media, such as anime, manga, music CDs and games [4]. During the late 1990s, the company began localizing various adult Japanese PC games into English, and sometimes German/French as well, branded as "Bishojo-Manga PC CD-ROM." All of their titles were released in the United States by JAST USA (Company) with their most famous title being the Japanese simulation game called True Love (Game), released around 1998-1999 in Europe and North America [8][10][12]. In the 2000s, Otaku gave up on selling their PC titles due to low sales and wide spread piracy of their products [9].
