Monolith was a Japanese developer that created Super Famicom ports of SNK fighters. They adapted Fatal Fury Special (Game), Art of Fighting (Game) and Samurai Shodown! (Game) for the system, and also worked on a handful of other games for the Super Famicom and the Neo Geo. They are not to be confused with Monolith Productions or Monolith Soft.
