When heading to a brothel looking for answers on who attempted to assassinate him, Jackie meets with one of the workers called Venus, as suggested by Vinnie (Character), to help him out. Venus hands Jackie a pistol, unbeknownst of his darkness powers, to fight his way to the third floor and confront the 'hunchback' who owns the business. The 'hunchback' is soon identified as Victor Valente (Character), the leader of an organisation called The Brotherhood who hope to attain the power of The Darkness (Character). As Jackie massacres his way to Victor, he is captured and crucified unto a cross. After he eventually manages to escape, he'll find a bloodied, deceased Venus hanging from a beam by a piece of rope wrapped around her wrists.
