Trivia

There is debate about Tohru's reference, as Kobayashi thinks she is named after Thor, the Norse God of Thunder. Tohru herself states that she is named after a real-world author in supplemental material, but doesn't say which one. Fans believe the author is J.R.R. Tolkien.
