The Noid was the star of Domino's Pizza "Avoid the Noid" advertisements from the 1980's and 90's. His main goal is to sabotage the quality and delivery of Domino's Pizzas, but is always thwarted.

The Noid was quickly retired in 1989 after an incident in which a mentally unstable man named Kenneth Noid, inspired by the paranoid delusion that the 'Avoid the Noid' campaign was personally mocking him, held a Domino's Pizza hostage for five hours.
