Shutendouji
A giant, violent oni that lived outside of Kyoto who would rob (and generally kill) passers-by. He had a castle at Ooeyama and had many oni subordinates. He likes to drink... a lot.

His name, Shutendouji ( 酒呑童子) literally is written with kanji reading "sake gulping boy". There are a number of legends about where Shutendouji came from, depending on the region: He's generally depicted as having been a human at birth, but having become an oni through various methods. All the various myths have several things in common, though: his extremely violent temper and his love of drink. He is described as being one of the three most powerful monsters in Japan at the time; he was eventually slain by a battle party formed by Minamoto no Yorimitsu.
