Secundo acts as a virtual assistant for Jade, analyzing the items she finds and managing her inventory. At the beginning of the game, he proposes Jade begin taking photos of animals in the game world in order to earn additional money used to buy items in the game, as well as to pay off the immediate debt to the Optima power company in order to activate the defense grid protecting the orphans living at the lighthouse. He plays a critical role at the end of the game, when his technical ability is needed to gain control of the DomZ transmitter, tricking it into believing he is an Alpha Sections general and allowing Jade to broadcast her final, definitive report of the Alpha Sections' corruption to the whole population of Hillys.
