Scythana is a ruthless criminal who is captured and jailed. A report about her capture is seen during Parasoul's story mode. She claims to be innocent of the charges of attacking the Renoir Grand War Memoria, but the only person who knows she's innocent, her employer, has disappeared (Isaac?) and won't come to her aid. She vows to be free once more, by force, if necessary. Scythana was revealed in the Skullgirls Indiegogo campaign that she would be one of the many characters up for fan vote to become new DLC characters. While she had a unique play-style and interesting story of betrayal, fans couldn't get her past the second round of voting.
