Riley is a dog that belongs to LoganandHesh Walker of the Ghosts division in Call of Duty: Ghosts. Certain portions of the game allow for the player to interact with Riley by sending him out ahead to take down and distract enemies. There is also one short stealth sequence in which the player takes control of Riley directly in order to eliminate a series of targets. Riley was first revealed during Microsoft's televised unveiling of the Xbox One (Platform). A portion of the presentation was dedicated to Call of Duty: Ghosts in which development team representatives talked about the process of motion-capturing a dog. Despite the emphasis placed on this aspect of the game in the presentation, however, Riley is not a major figure in the campaign.
