===Biography===
Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge Under the Amazon, there was once a kingdom of around 30,000 mermen. This kingdom was ruled by Rikuo and one day his kingdom was demolished by earthquakes and heavy volcanic activity. During these events, Rikuo was on the outskirts of the city and managed to escape the danger. He knew he couldn't have been the only one left and began to search for his people. After Pyron was defeated and left Earth, Rikuo met another survivor from his kingdom. Her name was Aqueria and they soon settled down together in order to rebuild their lost kingdom. They both had 3 sons and 12 eggs waiting to hatch. Rikuo's family live in a deep ocean trench that is around 150m deep. This trench shelters them and their eggs from harm. Near their home is a dangerous trench with fastocean currents. The currents in this trench are so strong that if anyone fell into it, including Rikuo, they wouldn't be able to swim free. Everyday, Rikuo would set out to search for more of his people and everyday his searches grew longer and longer. He would often search a radius of 200km and as deep as 1000m. Often times he could sense more of his people but he still couldn't find them. As his searches grew longer, he would spend less time with his family. During Darkstalkers 3, while out on one of his routine searches, Rikuo's son, Ricky, had vanished. Rikuo realized that if he couldn't protect his own family that he wouldn't be able to protect a whole kingdom. Rikuo believed that Ricky was drawn into Majigen, a dimension created by Jedah. Rikuo headed off to rescue his son.

Abilities

===Body Transforming===
Rikuo often transforms parts of his body mimicking those of other sea life. He can change his hands into crab claws or octopus tentacles. His feet can shift shape into see shells and his torso into a giant clam that shoots pearls.

===Other Abilities===
Rikuo has the ability to shoot a cloud of poisonous gasses or use sonic waves to stun his opponent. Outside this, Rikuo can also control water, whether he uses the brunt force of giant waves to batter an enemy or entrap them in a giant bubble. Strangely, Rikuo has a very strong tongue and can pick up and throw his opponents. During his Dark Force he summons a Makai Mach Crab and rides on its back as waves of water fill half the screen.

Rikuo's Darkstalkers 3 special confrontation is against Felicia (Character). To achieve his special confrontation you must defeat 3 opponents without losing around while also finishing those rounds with an EX move. Felicia: Heh heh... I have a favor to ask of you... Felicia: You look so cute! You're in such good shape! Felicia: And you're so good at dancing! Will you dance with me? Felicia: We would be the best duo in the world!

===Darkstalkers 3 Boss Confrontation===
Rikuo's Darkstalkers 3 boss is Jedah. Jedah: Welcome to my spirit room. Jedah: I was reborn to save all the souls in this demon world. Jedah: ...? Why do you glare at me? There's no need for that. Jedah: You're intelligent... You know the truth of my being.

Rikuo's birth year coincides with the release of The Creature from the Black Lagoon.
In the Darkstalkers series, Rikuo is voiced by Yuji Ueda (Person). Yuji also voiced Lord Raptor (Character) and Jon Talbain (Character).
Rikuo's son Ricky is known as Alba in Japan.
Ricky is most likely a kid or nickname derived from Rikuo, just as Alba is from Aulbath.
The crab Rikuo rides on is known as a Mach Crab. Mach Crabs also help in the Bigfoot species communication network by delivering mail.
Rikuo only has four fingers and four toes.
From Jedah's words Rikuo appears to be the only one knows what Jedah is planning.
In Darkstalkers 3 when Rikuo versus himself, one of the players will appear as a frog as apposed to riding in on the water.
Rikuo's taunt may be a nod to the Japanese legend of the Kappa. Kappa's were turtle like humanoids, often the size of a child with a ducks beak. These mythical creatures had a saucer shaped skull that held water. If this water was emptied from their skull, they would die.
Rikuo was featured in his own cellphone game in Japan. The name of the game in English is Aulbath's Wild River.
