A defensive back for the San Francisco 49ers. Notably outspoken, he considers himself the "best corner in the game" and was a big part of the Seahawks feared "Legion of Boom" defense. Sherman was voted to appear on the cover of Madden 15, the first cornerback to grace the game's cover.

Richard Sherman is a native of Compton, California. He played football at Stanford, where he had a 3.9 GPA. Initially recruited as a wide receiver, Sherman made the switch entering his third season, citing injuries sustain his first two seasons as well as team need. He entered the 2011 draft and was selected with in the fifth round by the Seattle Seahawks (Concept). With Sherman, along with strong safety Kam Chancellor, free safety Earl Thomas III, forms "the Legion of Boom," Seattle's backfield, which has been one of the best in the league since his arrival. Often cited as one of the best defensive players in the league, Sherman prides himself on the mental aspects of his game, and is adept at picking apart QB's and jumping routes. He is third among active players in both interceptions and passes deflected, and ranks first in these categories since 2011. Sherman was cut from the Seahawks in 2017 and went on to sign with their rival, the San Francisco 49ers (Concept). With Sherman, the 49ers made it to Super Bowl LIV, where they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs (Concept) 31-20.
