Overview
Rana is a character Commander Shepard (Character) encounters at least once across the series inMass Effect (Game). She is first shown working under primary antagonist Saren Arterius (Character) on the planet Virmire. Though she claims she serves him against her will due to the indoctrination process from the Reaper Sovereign (Character). From here, the player may choose to let her go, or kill her. If the player lets her go, however, she will then resurface in Mass Effect 2 (Game), now working for a Krogan scientist Dr. Okeer, who is conducting inhumane experiments to try and cure the genophagedisease. Once again the player may choose to either let her go, or kill her. If the player again decides to let her go, she is ultimately mentioned on a news report duringMass Effect 3 (Game), after having murdered several top Asari officials before killing herself. She had apparently claimed to have been hearing voices in her head, which is a common symptom of the early stages of Reaper indoctrination.
