Born Pietro Django Maximoff, son of Magneto arch-nemesis of the X-Men; Quicksilver has endured a torn life throughout his history as a Marvel character. Quicksilver was originally featured as a member of his father's evil alliance, The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Along with his sister, Wanda Maximoff (The Scarlet Witch) they fought against humankind. However Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were both given clarity to see that their father was the evil (although the fact they belonged to the Brotherhood of "EVIL" Mutants didn't clue them in first). As a superhero, Quicksilver has fought along with the likes of the X-Men and the Avengers (Quicksilver being one of the first second generation Avengers). He has even had his own series, which is difficult to accomplish as a secondary hero in the Marvel world. His relation to Magneto keeps him firmly bound to the Marvel Universe. Quicksilver has also made appearances in several video games, although usually as a secondary or cameo role.
