In his youth, professor White was a formidable man who defeated and sealed away the dangerous robot Golden Silver. Now in his senior years, White takes a more mentorly role for the younger members of his family as the empire seeks to revive Golden Silver. In the Japanese version of the game, he is called Doctor Brown and isn't genetically related to the Gunstars. Instead, he is a former member of the empire who found the cryogenically frozen members of the Gunstar family and revived them to stop Golden Silver's revival.
