Pascal in the Mega CD version of Shin Megami Tensei.
Pascal is the pet dog of Shin Megami Tensei's protagonist. At the very beginning of the game he lives in the protagonist's house and can be interacted with, replete with his own special musical theme. After the game's plot gets underway, Pascal joins the party for a brief period. If fused with a demon, he will become Cerberus (Character), in a nod to the three-headed Hades beast being the demon guardian of Akemi Nakajima (Character) from Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei. Fused into a demon or no, Pascal will eventually be lost by jumping into a teleporter, only to re-emerge as Cerberus later in the game's post-apocalyptic setting.
