Overview
As a child Pascal was apparently bright and active until he was hit on the head with a soccer ball, this incident presumably transformed him into a wandering philosopher. He appears within the player's town on one random day of the week between 6 a.m. and 12 a.m. and when talked too will spout one of his many philosophical sayings before diving into the water and swimming away. In Animal Crossing: Wild World he will also give the player rare furniture before swimming away and will also allow the player to trade him a scallop in exchange for his picture or a golden axe. In Wild World this is the only possibly way of obtaining the golden axe.

Pascal's name could be a reference to pascals, a unit of water pressure measurement, or Blaise Pascal, a French philosopher and mathematician.
