One of the three Final Fight heroes, Haggar is a former professional wrestler of the CWA who becomes the mayor of Metro City, using his fists when diplomacy is not an option.

Mike Haggar is a playable character in Capcom (Company)'s 1989 arcade game, Final Fight (Game). He was born on September 3, 1943 in Manhattan (Location), New York (Location). He is the Mayor of the game's setting, the fictional Metro City (Location). In the pregame cinema, Mike Haggar's daughter, Jessica, is kidnapped by the Mad Gear gang, who demand that Haggar allow them to do as they wish in Metro City like the previous mayor. Rather than give in to their demands, Haggar wages a three man war against the Mad Gear gang with the help of Cody and Guy (Character).

Once the game is beaten and Jessica is rescued, Haggar confesses to Jessica that he "thought he lost her like he lost her mother" implying that Haggar is a widower.

In terms of playing style, Haggar is the slow but powerful character. His style of fighting is grounded in professional wrestling, as his moves include a piledriver, a spinning lariat, and a suplex. Haggar is the most proficient character with the steel pipe weapon, and he can swing it faster than either of his companions should he pick one up during a stage.

In Street Fighter IV (Game), Zangief (Character)'s alternate costume is Haggar's classic costume.

Haggar is known as "The Uncivil Servant" in Saturday Night Slammasters"

Haggar has been a regular character in the Final Fight sequels on the SNES, as well as Mighty Final Fight (Game) and Final Fight One (Game) on the NES and GBA, respectively.

Mike Haggar is a playable character in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.
