a legendary stock car driver, Mark has been driving for over three decades in the NASCAR sprint cup series. He has also enjoyed great success in the Nationwide series, NASCAR's second-tier series. For years he was the all time wins leader in the series, until he was surpassed by Kyle Busch (Character) in 2011. Mark spent the bulk of his Sprint Cup career driving for Jack Roush until he decided he would race part time starting with the 2007 season. He did so again in 2008, but went back to full time in 2009 when he signed a three year deal to drive the number 5 car for Hendrick Motorsports. At the end of the 2011 season, his last with the Hendrick team, he announced he would once again race only part time starting in 2012, this time in the #55 Aaron's Dream Machine for Michael Waltrip Racing. Mark has been called the greatest driver to never win a championship. He finished 2nd in the standings 5 times: in 1990 and 1994 to Dale Earnhardt (Character), in 1998 to Jeff Gordon (Character), in 2002 to Tony Stewart (Character), and in 2009 to Jimmie Johnson (Person).
