In the Acclaim published games, she was most often referred to as "Marion". Marian has died and risen back to life in the limited canon following Double Dragon II- even though that required beating the game on the hardest difficulty in the NES and PC-Engine ports only. On instance she has come under the the influence of evil magic and become an enemy boss character, known as Queen Noiram in the English NES version Double Dragon III, and as Evil Marian in Double Dragon: Neon.
Despite her seemingly helpless nature in some games, she happens to lead a street gang in the Neo Geo fighting game and [/videos/this-aint-no-game-double-dragon/2300-224/ the movie] upon which it is based, and is a beautiful young policewoman/martial arts instructor in the pseudo-reboot Super Double Dragon (Game).
