Marcus Camby is a 6'11", 220 lb. Center-Forward from the University of Massachusetts Amherst who has played in the National Basketball Association (Concept) for the Toronto Raptors (Concept), New York Knicks (Concept), Denver Nuggets (Concept), Los Angeles Clippers (Concept), Portland Trail Blazers (Concept), Houston Rockets (Concept), and currently the New York Knicks (Concept). Camby played three years in college and led his team to the Final Four in 1996.
NBA Career
After his junior season, Camby decided to forgo his senior season and enter the NBA Draft. He was drafted second overall by the Toronto Raptors and was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. In 1998, he was traded to the Knicks and his new team would make the NBA Finals in 1998-99 losing to the San Antonio Spurs (Concept). In 2002 he was traded to the Denver Nuggets. In the 2005-2006 season the Nuggets would make the Playoffs winning the Northwest Division. In 2006-07 Camby would win the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award. On July 15, 2008 Camby was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers where he has played power-forward and center. On February 16, 2010, after two seasons with the Clippers, Camby was then traded to the Portland Trail Blazers. He played one full season with the Trail Blazers, then was traded at the trade deadline during the 2011-2012 season to the Houston Rockets. However, his stay in Houston would be short, after playing only 19 games with the Rockets he was traded to the New York Knicks, his current team.
