The former lord of Outland, whose reign ended with the arrival of Illidan Stormrage, Magtheridon is also a raid boss in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

Magtheridon is a pit lord who ruled Outland (Location) before the arrival of Illidan Stormrage (Character). He is a 25-player, level 70 raidboss in Magtheridon's Lair, which is located underneath Hellfire Citadel.
Biography
Magtheridon arrived on the orc homeworld Draenor shortly following the cataclysm that shattered it into what is now known as Outland. The pit lord rallied the surviving clans of orcs together, transforming them into fel orcs. To assist him, he also brought in demons through a number of portals that exist in Outland. Magtheridon ruled as the self-proclaimed lord of Outland for two decades, before his reign was interrupted.
Illidan Stormrage, having escaped to Outland to flee his master,Kil'jaeden, began to assault Magtheridon. Aided by Kael'thas Sunstrider and his blood elves and Lady Vashj (Character) and her naga, Illidan overtook the Black Temple (Location), Magtheridon's fortress. Prior to the events of The Burning Crusade, Magtheridon had been presumed dead after his defeat in battle. However, he had actually been sent by Illidan to Hellfire Citadel, where he was held prisoner. The reason the pit lord had been spared is so his blood could be used to create more fel orcs. Players in World of Warcraft encounter Magtheridon in his prison.
Abilities
* Quake: Knocks back every raid member every second for seven seconds.
- Blast Nova: Damages all raid members every two seconds for ten seconds.
- Collapse: At 30% health, Magtheridon will shatter the walls of his lair, causing damage to every raid member. Following the use of this ability, the ceiling of the lair will randomly cave in, causing high damage to characters caught in the area of effect.
