"I'm Lester. I take care of the strangers who arrive here." One of four of the nameless hero's allies who aid in the destruction of the Sleeper, the slaying of the dragons, and in the liberation (or subjugation) of the world of Gothic. Lester is a peculiar ally because of his dependence on swampweed to maintain his sanity after the destruction of the Sleeper in Gothic 1. As a novice in the sect camp, Lester had a telepathic link with the servant of Beliar, the Sleeper. When the nameless hero slew the Sleeper, all of the Sect camp when mad and scattered themselves throughout the Valley of Mines, leading to thier deaths. Cor Agnar, Fortuno and Lester were the only survivors, and Lester must intake swampweed to keep the effects of the sleeper at bay. In Gothic 3, Lester goes to Varant and is forced to work for the Orcs in the expedition to uncover the artifacts of Adanos strewn throughout the world.
