==Background == Kurenai witnesses her father, Ryo, get killed by the Black Lizard clan right before her eyes. She's hanged by a tree, left to die. She miraculously survive and is rescued by Chiyome, who later trains Kurenai in the arts of the ninja, using the Tetsugan; a weapon created by combining the wire, from Kurenai's hanging, with a kunai. After Kurenai has finished her ninja training under Chiyome, she sets out on a trip for vengeance to still her personal vendetta against the Black Lizard clan.
