Kog'Maw is a support caster character.
The most imporant feature of Kog'Maw is its spammable long range Living Artillery ability: with that Kog'Maw can support the team with damage while being completely safe. Due to this capability, in the late game Kog'Maw shines as a anti-tank hero, but with two major issues: the mana required to spam the ultimate is very high and, if caught alone, this hero lacks damage bursts or escaping abilities resulting in almost certain death.
Backstory
Kog'Maw is a putrid lizard-like creature summoned by the same ominous voice that led the prophet Malzahar to Icathia. This beast manifested himself amongst the haunting ruins of the forsaken city through a fissure between the spaces. The spark that summoned this monster, was now leading him towards Malzahar.
On his way to Runeterra, Kog'Maw roamed around with unsettling curiosity, experiencing the strange world in the only way he knew: by devouring everything that earned his attention.
At first he sampled only the wild flora and fauna he happened across, but soon came upon a tribe of nomads which he devoured entirely, disrespectful of the rules of physics about mass and volume.
On his arrival at the Institute of War, Malzahar greeted him offering the best taste Runeterra could offer: the Fields of Justice.
